Why do many dogs perform differently at trials than they do in practice?
Imagine this scenario: your dog has fast sits and downs at home, but at rally trials, he sits and downs very slowly, or not at all.
Sometimes, competitors assume this type of behavior means that a dog is "blowing them off," or purposefully not turning in his best performance. Is that really what's going on?
